Solar house numbers
It is a good idea to consider using solar house numbers
at your own home. After all, few things are more frustrating than driving
around a neighborhood, looking for a home and being unable to see it
because it is too dark to read the numbers. And you certainly want everyone
from friends to family to emergency personnel to the pizza delivery
guy to be able to find your house with ease.
Once you have made the decision to buy solar house numbers, you must
decide which type to get. There are three main types:
Backlit solar house numbers – These are lit from behind, creating
a white space around the numbers, making them easy to read. These generally
require you to purchase your house numbers along with the light.
Spotlighted solar house numbers – A solar-powered spot light can
be added to almost any existing house number display. The light simply
shines down on the numbers and illuminates them.
Solar house number lights – These solar house numbers are the
lights, the white space (sometimes they are lit from behind… for
the most part, though, they look like digital numbers). And if you move,
you can simply take this solar light with you – some of them can
be programmed with which numbers should be displayed; they are totally
customizable.
As solar lighting as improved, so have solar house number lights. Many
can remain lit all night, even with just a few hours of sunlight. Why
not make your home easier to find at night?
